David Shamszad | CEO
A Bay Area native, David grew up in Oakland and attended the Urban High School of San Francisco and graduated from Dartmouth College. His career in real estate began in the East Bay where he began working as an agent and asset manager for several years, focusing on commercial lease and sales transactions as well as multi-family sales and management. With a knack and keen interest in working with property owners, in 2010 David founded SG Real Estate with the goal of establishing a company specifically oriented towards long-term relationships with property owners and investors through dedicated asset management and brokerage services. In his free time, David commits himself to volunteering for various community improvement and youth advocacy organizations, including CASA and the Berkeley Community Fund, and enjoys recreational sports and fitness. David and his family live in Berkeley.
Athena Brooks | Director of Leasing
Athena is a Bay Area native. She was born and raised in Vallejo, CA and has lived on both sides of the Bay Bridge. She currently resides in Oakland, CA. A graduate of Holy Names University, Athena received her B.A. in Business Management. Athena is a licensed Real Estate agent.
Prior to working here, she worked in the San Francisco Real Estate market, focused on single-family homes and real estate insurance. In her spare time, Athena is a CASA mentor, providing one-on-one support for a young child in the foster care system. She also enjoys the Bay Area’s many beaches, parks, fine wine, and cuisine. Despite being a native Bay Area resident, Athena is a die-hard Ravens fan and can be found wearing purple on Fridays to cheer on her team.
Robby Thind | VP of Finance
With roots beginning in the East Bay, Robby is excited to once again be working in the community he grew up in. Robby’s passion for social equality lead him to attend UC San Diego’s Thurgood Marshall College where the motto is to help students become engaged citizens committed to serving society. During his studies, Robby was an active fundraiser for several charities benefiting South Asian communities and co-founded Triton Consulting Group to enrich the business opportunities and experiences of his peers.
After graduating, Robby continued on the path of servitude by utilizing his finance knowledge by working at two non-profits. Before joining the SG Real Estate team, Robby furthered his skills by working as a consultant and accountant improving procedures and policies within the technology and start-up industries.
Roi Njai | Accountant
Roi's childhood years were in Burma. In her college years, she studied accounting in the Philippines, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting. After coming to the United States and settling in the Bay Area, Roi continued her education at Holy Names University in Oakland, graduating with a Masters degree in Culture and Spirituality. Those studies have helped increase her awareness of the inter-relatedness of our environments and the human. It has also increased her appreciation of diverse cultures and backgrounds, beginning with those right here in the Bay Area.
Her previous professional accounting experience includes a number of years in the medical industry. Roi enjoys accounting and plans to further develop her expertise in that area. In her spare times, she enjoys hiking, sight-seeing and exploring parks. Her goal is to make trips to the national parks across the states one day.
Gracy Rivera | Leasing Assistant
Gracy was born in San Francisco but raised in North Carolina, she recently moved back to California to further her career in Real Estate. Gracy has over 6 years of leasing experience which led her to be the motivated and energetic agent she is today. Her main goal as a Residential Leasing Assistant is to provide current and future tenants with amazing customer service as well as providing knowledge of all our outstanding residential listings. Gracy is fluent in Spanish and English which makes her an essential part of the team.
Gracy enjoys hanging out with her family and friends. Gracy also loves to paint & draw, as well reading books while taking care of her cat, Tokyo.
Ari King | Brokerage Associate
Born and raised in Oakland, Ari attended Head-Royce School before graduating from Wesleyan University. Once graduated, Ari moved to New York City to begin a career in real estate as an agent for a variety of investment properties throughout Manhattan. Ari's primary goal as Brokerage Associate is to provide services to investors and sellers with the utmost level of skill, honesty, and professionalism. Outside of the office, Ari engages in various writing projects, enjoys playing & watching sports, and spends quality time outdoors with his family and dog.
Moji Morovat | Account Manager
Moji was raised in Tehran, Iran. He graduated from Tehran University. He started to practice as an attorney at law which gave him a unique opportunity to built his foundations. He has practiced real estate and business law in his birth country since 2006. After coming to the United States, he developed his knowledge by taking Berkeley City College and Chabot College programs. Prior to working with SG, he worked as an account manager in a construction and development company in Berkeley. His skills and profession make Moji an essential part of the team. In his spare time, Moji enjoys hanging out with family and friends, hiking and playing football.
Cecili Rios | Office Manager
Cecili was born and raised in the Bay Area. She is currently attending UC Berkeley and will be receiving a B.A. in Business Marketing. Cecili’s professional background is in correspondence and office management. Cecili is active in two major nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area that provides meals and nutrition counseling to people living with life-threatening diseases. These experiences have given her gratitude to those with different cultures and backgrounds. Cecili has brought to SG her outstanding organizational and customer service skills, while also expanding her own knowledge in the real estate fields. Her professionalism and administrative skills make Cecili an essential part of the team. Cecili enjoys spending time with her family and friends, Cecili also loves traveling to exotic places and hosting parties.
Stacey Munsterman | HR and Administration Specialist
A transplant from “The Biggest Little City” of Reno, Nevada, Stacey moved to the Bay Area in the summer of 2015. Stacey received her B.S. in Business Management with a minor in psychology graduating cum laude with honors.
Stacey has a versatile background in retail management, auto insurance, executive administrative assistant, payroll, and HR. She is a volunteer member at the John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek. When she’s not working or volunteering, she enjoys cooking, baking, hiking with her two mini dachshunds and being with friends and family visiting the Tahoe area.
